Bio

Kaitlin Huwe is an actress and singer-songwriter originally from the San Francisco Bay Area.  Her soulful and ethereal voice paired with her poetic and raw lyrics, unite to bring forth a refreshing  sound that is both soothing and cathartic, nuanced and familiar.

"My parents gave me a guitar when I was twelve." says Kaitlin, "My dad told me that his biggest regret in life was that he never learned to play his guitar.  In that moment, I knew that instrument possessed some kind of power for me.  I've been writing songs on it ever since."

Kaitlin recorded her first EP "I'm Your Girl" with Hella Skeletons Records in a closet-turned-recording-studio in Topanga Canyon, after graduating from UCLA with a BA in Acting from the School of Theater, Film and Television.

In addition to working professionally as an actress, Kaitlin combines her love for music and storytelling by composing and performing in live theatre productions, licensing her songs to webseries, scoring short films, and writing theme songs for scripted web content, in addition to releasing her own music.

Kaitlin recorded her sophomore EP "Still Together: A Couplet" with 1057 Records in 2016, and made a music video for the song "We Are" directed by Monica Payne, edited by and starring Josiah Davis.

Kaitlin recently released her new single "The Old Man & His Daughter" produced by Joel Henry Stein (Green Zebra Records).

"Kaitlin is one of the most talented singers I've produced." says Stein.

Kaitlin plays live shows in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.  You can find her at farmers markets, quiet candlelit restaurants, music festivals, living room house concerts, and the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.
